Projected Identitys

My Projected Identity piece is unique and has a lot of things in it, such as: the movie tickets I've been saving since the ninth grade; pictures of Hawaii, one while on the plane and one where I am holding parrots; I have a sticker of a women as a skeleton for Day of the Dead; my catholic bracelet I wear; a small seashell; my Bulldog chain that I got from school; Hello Kitty bracelets; earphones; and the letters of my nickname "Nessa" in bright diamonds.
The repetition in my art piece is that I have a lot of movie tickets and there are two headphones. Nothing is being contrasted and there is no unity because a lot of things are scattered everywhere. There is no unity, as well.
My projected identity says a lot about me. It says that I like to travel, I respect my culture and my religion, I like Hello Kitty and everything nice and cute, I go to school and I enjoy having fun.
Overall, I feel that my piece is successful because I added a lot of my special things on this and this comes to show that this is only a little bit of what represents who I am as a whole.

Scanned Emotions - "Sleeping" Beauty

My scanner art piece of my emotion beauty is of me closing my eyes with my hair flipped to the left side of my art piece. I have my chin laying on my hands where the audience can see my bright neon orange nails and my gold chain that says 'Vanessa' on it in handwriting.
The only pattern that is shown are my nails because of its color and each nail has the same design as my other hand. What looks to be emphasized are my nails or my gold chain necklace. There is asymmetrical balance and it does not contain unity.
My scanned emotion means to me that Beauty is within and a girl can have an extra sparkle when they do their nails! The message that I present in this photo is that I am beautiful, awake or sleeping, and everyone else is irrelevant.
I feel that my scanned emotion of beauty is successful even if I am with my eyes closed. It is neat and I believe that it deserves an A.

Scanner Art - Environmental Scanner

My enviornmental scanned art piece is a photograph of dead, purple flowers that look all dried up. On the top, left hand corner is a hair clip and an angle wing earring. On the right side of my piece are my keys, one of them has a soccer cover on it. On the bottom, right hand corner is a ticket from when I went to see Swedish House Mafia.
My scanner asrt piece has a pattern because it has four flowers. There are some parts of my scanner art that there is space and vacant. There is nothing being contrasted or emphasized. My scanner art has asymmetrical balance. It does not have unity from my perspective.
My scanner art piece means how I observe the environment from my surroundings in my commuity. We have beautiful fauna and flora but people do not treat our world as well as they should be, such as throwing trash in the floor. I am enviromentally friendly.
I do feel successful because I had more objects besides the flowers. My piece was created neatly and it looks fairly good.

Warhol Self Portrait

My warhol self portrait are nine different colors of the same image of me. Each box has two different colors that are complimentary to eachother. It looks colorful because I used every color on the color wheel.
My self portrait does have a pattern because each picture is the same, only different colors. Nothing is being contrasted or emphasized. My self portrait does have unity because it is creative and looks unique.
My self portrait means to me that I can be any shape, size, color or tone. This is so because I feel like each box is cool or soft. My self portrait says that I am a human being who is different and I enjoy very much my life. My portrait does not symbolize anything, just my ability to color myself in different complimentary colors.
I feel this piece of mine was successful thought I wish it did not take me a lot of time to finish it. I wanted to use other colors besides these on the color wheel but my art teacher wouldn't let me. But, it looks good and I did it to the best of my ability.

Childhood Memory

My childhood memory contains my little sister laying on our carpet as a superhero trying to save a blue dog from a monkey. The blue dog is a play dog I got from Victoria's Secret and the monkey is a folder.
My childhood memory doesn't have a pattern, besides the carpet. Nothing is being contrasted nor emphasized. However, there is symmetrical balance and it does contain unity.
My childhood memory means to me that I wanted to be a superhero as a kid. I loved the Power Rangers and I would say I was the pink PW. The photo says I am imaginative.
I feel somewhat better if I had more time to edit it. But, my sister was very nice enough to help and be my model.

Unity

My design is a photo I took of bottles of soda and salsa at a Mexican supermarket. The table is reflected by sharp angles, the background is blurred out and contains pixels. The last two small bottles are salsa and I made them black and white to blend in with the background. The next two bottles are bright, the bottles of salsa after that are not as bright and has no emphasis. Lastly, the 3 Jarritos bottles at the end of the line are high-lighted to bright neon colors.
My design does have repetition because it has a lot of the same shaped bottles. Contrast is shown by the last two bottles of the left side of my photo. The 3 bottles on the right are emphasized because they are the brightest and from the angle, they look bigger. My photo is symmetrical and does have unity.
My design means to me that us Latinos love hot foods and sodas with flavor. The colors contribute to how colorful Latin culture is and the techniques help communicate how there are wide varieties of food.
I do feel like my piece was successful because I took the photograph myself while I was in Mexico and at a good angle. I think my design looks good because I did a lot of effects.

Shrine Down the Hall

My portrait is a black, white and gray picture of my room. You see leopard prints on my walls, a soccer t-shirt on my bed that is in the middle of my room. On top of my bed is a cross. On the right side of my picture are a lot of frames I hand of pictures of me. There is also a computer, a desk and my chair on the left hand corner of my bed.
My shrine has a pattern because of the prints on my wall. Everything is being contrasted. Nothing is emphasized. My piece has unity.
My room represent me and my unique side. The message inmy shrine show how everyone can decorate their room to be creative and show their true personality. This is also a way for people to be nosey and see where I usally take my pictures on instagram or facebook.
I do feel like my shrine looks successful because my room is cool and unique and organized.

Personal Collage

My personal collage contains a large photo of me as a kid. There is a picture of my little sister on the left hand side of me which looks like she is holding my hair. On the top left hand corner is my necklace that I recieved when I turned 15. On the bottom right hand corner is a picture of my graduation picture.
There is no pattern, emphasis or contrast. I do believe my portrait has unity.
My personal collage represents my childhood but also the important people in my life and my experiences. It represents my traditional values because it has my quincenera chain that is very important to me and marked the day I turned a lady. My collage symbolizes just part of my life up to now.
If I were to judge this piece, I would give it a B because I wasn't able to add more picture into my collage. I could have done better but I did not have enough time.

My Own Reality

My own reality is a picture of Edward Collins and me looking deep into eachother's eyes with passion and love. We cannot resist being together. In the background are swirls of the colors blue and green. My eyes are red because Edward transformed me into a vampire like him so we can be together forever.
My portrait does not have a pattern. Nothing is being contrasted or emphasized. It has asymmetrical balance. There is unity between Edward and me.
My piece means that him and I will soon be together forever. All the other girls need to back away because he is mine and he knows it as well. That is why Edward cannot stop staring into my eyes. The swirls in the background symbolize that we are in our own little world together and no one can interfere.
I do feel successful with my portrait becuase I made my dream into something everyone can see and girls envy. I will post this all over the internet until Edward sees that we were meant to be.

Makeup Clown

My ad is a advertisement about makeup for all girls. Unlike the usual ads that girls would see on magazines, my ad says how too much makeup can literally make you look like a clown. My ad is the face of a women who looks like a clown with a red nose, over-drawn red lips, big pink bluch, and too much eyeshadow.
There is a alot of emphasis on the red nose of the woman. My ad has symmetrical balance because its her full face.
The message of my ad is that many woman, even those at a young age, are wearing too much makeup and using it as a mask to hide their true identity and beauty. Thus, it makes them look like a clown. Now a days, girls are taught at a very young age that beauty is everything, makeup is "fun" and it makes you look pretty, such as those models in the magazines, music videos, etc.
I do feel successful about my ad because it is obvious to the audience what my message and my intention is.

Dream Scene

My photo is a picture of me about to faint at the beach in San Francisco when all of a sudden Shia and Jacob are running towards to save my life and give me mouth-to-mouth.
My picture does not have a patter or contrast. I feel that because I am in the middle I am being emphasized. My piece is asymmetrical. The setting makes my picture romantic.
My dream means the unrealistic hope that I want to achieve one day. My message through my photograh is that anything can happen in your mind as long as you don't give up or your creativity.

My Own Surreal Reality

My surreal self portrait is a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge that I took with my camera, my sister when she graduated pre-school and me.
My self portrait has repetition because many cupcakes cover the sky. Nothing is being contrasted. I am being emphasized. My portrait has asymmetrical balance because it has unequal sides when you divide it in two.
My portrait means to me that I love my city and my baby sister because I am a true native and I love my family. The colors contribute to the cupcakes transparent. The different lights and colors say that I am a bright person. There is no symbolism.
I feel that I somewhat accomplished my goal for the self portrait but I could have done better. Hopefully, I have captured the idea of unity.

CD Cover

The CD cover I did for my Visions to Music was Diva by Beyonce. I chose this song because I wanted to encourage woman empowerment. I took the picture of my two feet, one leg with jeans and my jordans and the other leg that I edited to look like I was wearing cheetah print leggings with my black, sparkly high heels on. The background starts from a yellow mustard color in the background that fades into orange and then to a dark red. The picture of my two feet are of the left side of my CD cover while the right side has empty space where I wrote in the middle, Female Hustler.
My visions to music does not have a pattern. Nothing is being contrasted because everything is bright and colorful, besides the black high heel. Both of my shoes are being emphasized. My visions to music is asymmetrical. My piece does not have unity.
My visions to music means to encourage woman empowerment. No female needs a man to feel motivated or feel protected about themselves. They should be confident and independent. The message through my CD cover is that woman can be hustlers just as being business woman or a "classy lady". Woman can take over the world in that type of way.
I do feel successful about my Visions to Music because I like the image of my two feet with my two favorite shoes. I also like the song Diva. It is neat. It looks great as a beginner! My feeling towars guys is that they do  not kow what is heading towards them - woman are becoming more in power.

Contrast

The contrast art piece I created is a black and white picture of a figure that is made up of different sumbols and letters. Its head is a suare with sunglasses, half a oval shaped nose and spikey hair I made with the letter W. Its body is the ying-yang symbol. Its arms are made up of triangles, from biggest to smallest. At the end of its right hand, it has a hand that shows the peace sign. Its legs are two big letter D's and its rollerblading on the number eight.
My photo does have repetition because of its triangle hands that go from biggest to smallest. Everything is being contrasted - the background is black while the object I made is white. The object I made is also the only thing that is being emphasized and that you see. It has symmetrical balance. My design does have unity.
My piece means to me that the object I created can be as cool as any cat in the block. He/she is holding up the peace sign to say that they are relaxed and living life. They do not care about what you think of them.
I do feel like my contrast art piece was a success because I added a lot of symbols, numbers, and letters. I really liked how it turned out. So, peace out!

Asymmetrical Balance

My art piece demonstrates asymmetrical balance. The background looks like swirls of mixes of nuetral pink and warn-out orange, and some gray. On the top of my piece, boldging gray, titonic letters say 'TITANIC,'  and its background is black. Below it, on the far left side, has black and white, newspaper print, letters saying San Francisco, in cursive. Next to it, I put together four slanted letters to the right saying "swag." Next to that, on the top right hand part of tehe word Titanic says jiggle in small black print letters. Below the word "swag," it says Music that I cut out of a newspaper and its background is gray. On the very bottom of my art piece, says "BRASIL" in rainbow colors.
My piece has no repetition. The only thing that is being contrasted is my "Titanic" word. The letter 'A' in Swag is somewhat being contrasted because its deformed immensely than the other letters. There is no unity.
My piece means that there are all types of fonts, colors, effects that can be used when creating art. I did seven changes so I made only a few changes from what I could've done. The techniques influenced my communication by teaching myself all the effects.
I do feel like my art piece was successful because it has about seven or more changes to it and I learned how to add and subtract the colors used in the background. I think it looks unique as well.

Acapulco Calendar

My digital calendar is a beautiful beach house on the edge of the ocean in Acapulco. The background has a picture of a beach house and its waves are splashing. The beach house is yellow and I made the trees in the background a blue and green color. I darkened the ocean somewhat greener and I made the house a more brighter yellow. The rocks stand out before than originally.
My digital calendar does have a pattern because of its rocks at the bottom. It also has a lot of plants in the back of the yellow beach house.
My piece means to me that there is a peaceful, magical place you can go to. The calendar represents that there are many places such as this one to relax and find a spot to just enjoy yourself. This represents me as a person who likes to travel.
I do feel like my calendar is successful because I was the original photographer of this photo and I finished this project early. The elements of this design do work together to create unity. It is created neatly.

Hello Kitty

My logo are my three initials, "VGG," and my theme is Hello Kitty. Inside my first 'V' is a picture of Hello Kitty including her body. It shows her whiskers, her eyes, and her bow. My middle 'G' has the outline of Hello Kitty's face. My last 'G' is a picture of My Melody, a character and friend of Hello Kitty.
My logo has a pattern because it onle has characters of Hello Kitty and her friends. What is being contrasted are the letters and the picture in the middle of my letters. Nothing is being emphasized. My logo has symmetrical balance and my logo does not have unity.
My logo means to me that I like Hello Kitty. It also looks cute and girly. Which also means to me that I have a sweet personality.
I do feel successful because I know what I wanted since the beginning and I executed it very well. I didn't do the same mistake as the others in my class. I finished on time and my logo looks just like I wanted it to.
