Red Rose (Emphasis)

My picture on emphasis is a picture of a red rose, which is the first thing you see. There are two gray and black flowers on the back of the red rose. There are bright green leaves with the same pink flowers at the bottom of the red and black and white flowers. I used brightness to reduce it and for the background, since it is a cement wall, I blurred it out to make the three main flowers more "important".
My picture does not have repetition. There is also no object that is being contrasted. The object that can probably be emphasized is the red rose because it stands out with it's brightness and it is automatically the first thing you see. My design solution has asymmetrical balance.
My art piece means, to me, that there is a living flower waiting to bloom, it just needs the right amount of sun, water, and love to make it flourish. The red flower is bloomed out all the way. It sort is like it is giving you a hug! The techniques that I used to influence the communication through my picture were blurs, brightness, and black and white.
I feel my piece on emphasis is successful because I like how it turned out and it captures the emphasis part, too.

Cute Koala (Repetition)

My repetition includes ovals colored pink with a noise effect or yellow ovals with koalas inside them. There are two rows of orange, skinny rectangle bars that separate some of the ovals but also is overlapped with the other ovals.
The repetition is that each oval is separated by an orange skinny rectangular stick. There is contrast but there is no emphasis. My poster is symmetrical but there is no unity.
My piece has no meaning other than it is cute, mostly because of the koalas. The techniques that I used to influence the communication through my repetition
I do feel like my piece is successful because I actually thought of a pattern and I did what I thought was creative to my personal extent.

U-No Candy Bars (7 changes)

My photograph is a picture of U-No Bars. There are two rows of these bars. I made seven changes to most of each one, if not did the same effect. Some are highlighted colors or others are blurred. The U-No bar that is right infront is, what I think, is the first thing you see.
My photo does have repetition because they are all the same type of candy and there are stacks of them. Nothing is being contrasted. There is no emphasis. My photo does, however, have symmetrical balance because if you were to cut it down the middle, they would both have the same equal amount of element/design, therefore, no difference. There is no unity in my photo.
My photo means there are many different types of candy that you've never seen or hear of and it's nice to enjoy the next good piece of thing. The different effects on my U-No bars make it seem like if each one is a different flavor or different from any other candy that you would want to try. My U-No bars have enough color and I think the blurs, crystalizing it, and the motion, make it seem like it has different shades of color.
I feel vert successful of my piece because I successfully made the seven changes that were being asked to do, plus I added color! Overall, my piece might create unity. My piece looks good because I made it by myself and it was a good first attempt at making different effects I never used before.
