Projected Identitys

My Projected Identity piece is unique and has a lot of things in it, such as: the movie tickets I've been saving since the ninth grade; pictures of Hawaii, one while on the plane and one where I am holding parrots; I have a sticker of a women as a skeleton for Day of the Dead; my catholic bracelet I wear; a small seashell; my Bulldog chain that I got from school; Hello Kitty bracelets; earphones; and the letters of my nickname "Nessa" in bright diamonds.
The repetition in my art piece is that I have a lot of movie tickets and there are two headphones. Nothing is being contrasted and there is no unity because a lot of things are scattered everywhere. There is no unity, as well.
My projected identity says a lot about me. It says that I like to travel, I respect my culture and my religion, I like Hello Kitty and everything nice and cute, I go to school and I enjoy having fun.
Overall, I feel that my piece is successful because I added a lot of my special things on this and this comes to show that this is only a little bit of what represents who I am as a whole.

Scanned Emotions - "Sleeping" Beauty

My scanner art piece of my emotion beauty is of me closing my eyes with my hair flipped to the left side of my art piece. I have my chin laying on my hands where the audience can see my bright neon orange nails and my gold chain that says 'Vanessa' on it in handwriting.
The only pattern that is shown are my nails because of its color and each nail has the same design as my other hand. What looks to be emphasized are my nails or my gold chain necklace. There is asymmetrical balance and it does not contain unity.
My scanned emotion means to me that Beauty is within and a girl can have an extra sparkle when they do their nails! The message that I present in this photo is that I am beautiful, awake or sleeping, and everyone else is irrelevant.
I feel that my scanned emotion of beauty is successful even if I am with my eyes closed. It is neat and I believe that it deserves an A.

Scanner Art - Environmental Scanner

My enviornmental scanned art piece is a photograph of dead, purple flowers that look all dried up. On the top, left hand corner is a hair clip and an angle wing earring. On the right side of my piece are my keys, one of them has a soccer cover on it. On the bottom, right hand corner is a ticket from when I went to see Swedish House Mafia.
My scanner asrt piece has a pattern because it has four flowers. There are some parts of my scanner art that there is space and vacant. There is nothing being contrasted or emphasized. My scanner art has asymmetrical balance. It does not have unity from my perspective.
My scanner art piece means how I observe the environment from my surroundings in my commuity. We have beautiful fauna and flora but people do not treat our world as well as they should be, such as throwing trash in the floor. I am enviromentally friendly.
I do feel successful because I had more objects besides the flowers. My piece was created neatly and it looks fairly good.

Warhol Self Portrait

My warhol self portrait are nine different colors of the same image of me. Each box has two different colors that are complimentary to eachother. It looks colorful because I used every color on the color wheel.
My self portrait does have a pattern because each picture is the same, only different colors. Nothing is being contrasted or emphasized. My self portrait does have unity because it is creative and looks unique.
My self portrait means to me that I can be any shape, size, color or tone. This is so because I feel like each box is cool or soft. My self portrait says that I am a human being who is different and I enjoy very much my life. My portrait does not symbolize anything, just my ability to color myself in different complimentary colors.
I feel this piece of mine was successful thought I wish it did not take me a lot of time to finish it. I wanted to use other colors besides these on the color wheel but my art teacher wouldn't let me. But, it looks good and I did it to the best of my ability.

Childhood Memory

My childhood memory contains my little sister laying on our carpet as a superhero trying to save a blue dog from a monkey. The blue dog is a play dog I got from Victoria's Secret and the monkey is a folder.
My childhood memory doesn't have a pattern, besides the carpet. Nothing is being contrasted nor emphasized. However, there is symmetrical balance and it does contain unity.
My childhood memory means to me that I wanted to be a superhero as a kid. I loved the Power Rangers and I would say I was the pink PW. The photo says I am imaginative.
I feel somewhat better if I had more time to edit it. But, my sister was very nice enough to help and be my model.

Unity

My design is a photo I took of bottles of soda and salsa at a Mexican supermarket. The table is reflected by sharp angles, the background is blurred out and contains pixels. The last two small bottles are salsa and I made them black and white to blend in with the background. The next two bottles are bright, the bottles of salsa after that are not as bright and has no emphasis. Lastly, the 3 Jarritos bottles at the end of the line are high-lighted to bright neon colors.
My design does have repetition because it has a lot of the same shaped bottles. Contrast is shown by the last two bottles of the left side of my photo. The 3 bottles on the right are emphasized because they are the brightest and from the angle, they look bigger. My photo is symmetrical and does have unity.
My design means to me that us Latinos love hot foods and sodas with flavor. The colors contribute to how colorful Latin culture is and the techniques help communicate how there are wide varieties of food.
I do feel like my piece was successful because I took the photograph myself while I was in Mexico and at a good angle. I think my design looks good because I did a lot of effects.

Shrine Down the Hall

My portrait is a black, white and gray picture of my room. You see leopard prints on my walls, a soccer t-shirt on my bed that is in the middle of my room. On top of my bed is a cross. On the right side of my picture are a lot of frames I hand of pictures of me. There is also a computer, a desk and my chair on the left hand corner of my bed.
My shrine has a pattern because of the prints on my wall. Everything is being contrasted. Nothing is emphasized. My piece has unity.
My room represent me and my unique side. The message inmy shrine show how everyone can decorate their room to be creative and show their true personality. This is also a way for people to be nosey and see where I usally take my pictures on instagram or facebook.
I do feel like my shrine looks successful because my room is cool and unique and organized.
